The Cool Kids play free London show tonight

Between riding BMX and having a fish-fry, hip-hop duo of substantial buzz The Cool Kids sometimes manage to record music and perform live. Tonight: the latter.

Catch Chuck Inglish and Mikey Rocks - no, those aren't their real names - a.k.a. the "new black version of the Beastie Boys" at DPMHI (2-3 Great Pulteney Street, Soho W1) from 7pm.

Sir Michael Rocks On Signing Solo Deal With Jet Life

 Before the panic attacks ensue, the Cool Kids is not breaking up. The duo is still together and will be invading your speakers very soon. The pair has decided to follow in the footsteps of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan, as Rocks put it in his interview with blogger Ashley Outrageous, and have separate careers outside of and in addition to the Cool Kids.

The announcement for one of the latest additions to the Jet Life family was made Sunday, October 23, when Curren$y tweeted, “Roll one for @SirMichaelRocks for he is indeed Jet Life Official.” Sir Michael Rocks will be added to the Warner Bros. subsidiary along with Smoke DZAand a slew of other up-and-coming rappers as Curren$y builds his power hip-hop team. Rocks had been rumored to be signing a solo deal with Dame Dash‘s Blue Roc label for quite some time, so fans following his next move were completely blindsided when his decision hit the Internet.

CMJ caught up with Rocks to ask him a few questions about his new home and how Chuck Inglish is taking the news.

The Cool Kids recently released their debut full-length album When Fish Ride Bicycles, which we think is very good. To celebrate this release, and The Cool Kids’ current tour, we’re giving away a prize pack of Cool Kids-related goodies.

Get Ready For The Cool Kids

Stateside hip hop duo The Cool Kids are gearing up to release their UK debut album "The Bake Sale" on August 4th.

The group have set the US hip hop scene alight with a number of incredible performances and highly sought after 12 inches. The Cool Kids straddle the old and new schools, mixing effortless flow with massive beats they sound current but nod their baseball caps towards the late 80s 'golden era' of hip hop.

"The Bake Sale" has already caused a massive buzz in clubs across the UK, and contains a number of surefire classics. The album is due to be released on August 4th, with a 12 inch single "88" due out on July 28th.

Tonight I am reminiscing a bit about life, having been contacted by someone I used to be in a band with in the Navy. I never realized that he was older than I am by eight months.

It is funny how time flies and we all end up becoming older, if the proverbial "Life's Bus" doesn't come around the corner and run us over first.

I remember telling another friend I was stationed with back in 1980 in Hawaii, “You are cool for 30.” I was not quite 25 years of age.

I wonder if the “kids” in my workshops, many of them getting ready to “retire” from the military, look at me in the same way. The youngest of the group of retirees are my daughter’s age.

“You’re cool for being nearly 60,” they might say.

I never was one of the “cool” kids before.

I suppose I am still holding out for hope.

Alycia Kaback and Everyone at The It Factor Productions / VIP Talent Connect is delighted at the news that Duchess of Cambridge, Kate has given birth to a son.  And that was exactly what she was hoping for – a son.  Her dream came true at 4.24pm. “Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well and will remain in hospital overnight,” Kensington Palace said in a statement.

The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth of his son who weighed 8lbs 6oz and said “We couldn’t be happier.”  The Royal Family will not visit the hospital as it demands an extra level of security which could cause disruption.

The Prince of Wales said that “Grandparenthood is a unique moment in anyone’s life, as countless kind people have told me in recent months, so I am enormously proud and happy to be a grandfather for the first time and we are eagerly looking forward to seeing the baby in the near future.”

As Alycia Kaback, CEO of The IT Factor Productions, recalls the birth of her first niece a few years ago, she understand what a big, life changing experience this is for the whole family.

Update: The Royal Baby has made his first appearance while leaving St. Mary’s Hospital with his mom Kate Middleton and dad Prince William just past 7:10pm on Tuesday (July 23) in London, England.

Tyreese Liverpool on Blue Bloods

If you are a Blue Bloods fan, be sure to catch Caspaws family's Tyreese the Model on the next season of the show...... Tyreese Liverpool will be playing the role of a Bartender in Blue Bloods- he is shooting tomorrow!  He was instructed bring black pants, black shoes, black belt and a white dress shirt. He will be calling in tonight at 6 PM to get the rest of his info.  Since signing with Kaback Model Management, Alycia Kaback has noticed Tyree’s name coming up a lot.  He’s done a lot of castings and bookings in short time for having just started out.  However, this booking is a little different this time–  the casting director instructed,  ”He also has to get an I9, so have him bring either a US PASSPORT, US unexpired Photo Id w/ a SS# CARD or a perm resident card.”  These special instructions are given because this time Tyreese will be receiving an AFTRA waiver.  He is one step closer to being eligible for the union benefits and speaking roles!  Read about another one  of Alycia Kaback’s Models Ryan Huttar who received his AFTRA card!  Alycia Kaback is so excited for Tyreese and can’t wait to see the episode.
